Who can make use of Community Aged Care Packages?

Community Aged Care Packages (CACPs) are planned and coordinated ‘packages’ of care, funded by the Commonwealth Government, to help older people or those with disabilities to remain in their own homes for longer.

How do I know if I am entitled to this service?

To qualify for this kind of care, people living at home need to be assessed by the Aged Care Assessment Team, and referral is often through a General Practitioner or hospital.

What is involved in CACPs?

Packages are very flexible and can be tailored to help with individual care needs, such as showering or bathing, supervision of medication, transport, laundry, gardening or meal preparation. Qualified carers from Cabanda carry out these services.

What is the costs of this service?

Even though this service is subsidised by the Commonwealth Government, in most cases some additional fees will apply.
